Winding Down

The final wave of RSM guests began arriving on Sea Island yesterday (Fri., Nov. 17), and wrapped up the second round of The RSM Classic with an evening reception at The Cloister.

A few highlights from the day – in addition to the world-class golf, of course – included guest appearances on Sirius XM Radio with RSM US LLP COO Bill Gorman and CMO Andy Bosman. Jamie Burgess – partner, Risk Advisory Services in RSM’s Jacksonville office, made a guest appearance on Coastal Living News, and Andy also made a morning appearance on Back 9 Boys Saturday morning. One of the common themes from each of these conversations: the fact that stewardship is such an integral part of the game of golf and of RSM. It’s one of the core values RSM and the game share. Others include respect, integrity, teamwork and excellence.
This morning (Sat., Nov. 18) featured a Folds of Honor Million Dollar Challenge on Hole 1 of the Plantation course, beginning at 8 a.m. Thirteen finalists will compete on the 18th hole of Seaside immediately following play this afternoon, just before a concert by country music star Jake Owen this evening at McKinnon Airport. Why thirteen finalists? Thirteen is the number of folds in the American flag when it’s presented to family members of fallen veterans.

Check back tomorrow for another update from beautiful Sea Island, home of The RSM Classic.
