Halfway There

This week, the golf action is coming from Wilmington, NC, where the Wells Fargo Championship is underway. If you’re wondering why the tournament is not being played as usual in Charlotte, there’s a great reason for it – the PGA Championship will be contested at Quail Hollow come August, so this year’s event was temporarily relocated.  There are quite a few familiar faces playing in this tournament, including Team RSM members Zach Johnson and Davis Love III, along with past RSM Classic winners Chris Kirk (2013), Robert Streb (2014), Kevin Kisner (2015) and Mackenzie Hughes (2016).

Teeing off today (Thurs., May 4), Mackenzie started at 7:23 a.m. ET from tee No. 1; shortly after from the same tee, Zach started at 7:34 a.m.; at 7:56 a.m., Davis teed off from No. 10; at 12:33 p.m., Kevin teed from tee No. 1 and Chris started from tee No. 10; and Robert teed at 1:06 p.m. from tee No. 10. Best of luck to all “our guys” this week!

And speaking of Chris Kirk, we want to wish him an early Happy Birthday as he celebrates on May 8!

We are now just days away from the six-month mark for the eighth annual RSM Classic (Nov. 13-19)! While that might seem a long way away, tickets for the 2017 tournament go on sale Thurs., June 1 (less than a month from today)! And it’s never too early to start making your plans to join us this fall. Below is a quick rundown of what you can expect during tournament week. Sea Island – home of The RSM Classic – is a unique place that should be experienced firsthand. Regardless of whether you’re a big golf fan, we’d love for you to spend the week with RSM US LLP enjoying the tournament and taking in the amazing environment on the island.

“There’s something about this place that’s timeless. There are deep connections here. To nature, to tradition, to a warm welcome. To excellence recognized with 79 Five-Star and Five-Diamond honors. To gracious and heartfelt hospitality.” –Sea Island
