Earlier this week, our
friends across the pond shared some BIG news: RSM’s UK member firm has become an official
sponsor of the European Tour! This agreement builds on RSM’s January announcement of
their partnership with European Tour star Andy
Sullivan. We're excited to learn of the UK member’s endeavors and their
future with the European Tour. RSM UK Chief Operating Office David Gwilliam shared
that “we are very excited to work with the European Tour over the coming
years. Together, RSM and the European Tour will push the boundaries of
traditional golf sponsorships and will seek out avenues to understand the key
drivers to player efficiency in golf.” Learn more details in their news
release.
Have you checked out RSMClassic.com lately? The site has
recently gone through a renovation, and relaunched on May 24. The new site is
more visually appealing and allows easy navigation to find important details
and news about The RSM Classic. The website has launched in preparation for The
RSM Classic tickets going on sale June 1. Scott Reid, tournament director,
said, "The unveiling of the new website is part of our overall strategy to
ensure we are providing visitors with an exceptional user experience and access
to timely event information and updates.” Take a look and let us know your
thoughts!
Before wrapping, we want to
wish everyone a safe and relaxing Memorial Day weekend. Stop by next week to

players who make up Team RSM: PGA TOUR Players Chris
DiMarco, Zach

Love III, and European Tour Player Andy
Sullivan. These established players reflect the respect, integrity,
teamwork, excellence and stewardship that RSM strives to deliver through every
client engagement.
The AT&T Byron Nelson begins
today in Irving, Texas and Team RSM Member Zach Johnson is joined by past RSM

2016 marks the 90th anniversary
for RSM US LLP. In recognition of our clients, employees and friends who have
contributed to 90 successful years, we’re celebrating this significant milestone
in our firm’s history throughout 2016. RSM US recently held a celebration in
the firm's original hometown of Cedar Rapids, IA. While visiting Iowa, we came
across another familiar site: a collection of Iowa native Zach Johnson
memorabilia. Made us feel even more at home! Check it out.
Be sure to stop by next week
to learn the latest on Team RSM and other fun golf-related news – including
updates on this year’s RSM Classic
(Nov. 14-20). We hope you're planning on joining us at Sea Island in the

At The PLAYERS, TPC Sawgrass is known to have distractions at No.
17, but the PGA TOUR’s recent spoof about that, really made us chuckle. We
HIGHLY recommend you check out this article –
guaranteed to make you smile!
In recent news, The Brunswick News shared a
great article about what it takes to pull together The RSM Classic –
and how it’s a great event for business development. One of our favorite quotes
from the article is by Scott Reid, tournament director for The RSM Classic:
“It’s essentially a business
development platform for companies. You can either entertain current customers
or clients or spend time with prospects. Companies can also reward their
employees and team members by taking them to spend the day out at a beautiful
place and a fun event,” Reid said. “That’s what we’re ‘selling’ the opportunity
for businesses to use the tournament for business development.”
As we get closer to tournament week (Nov. 14-20), we’ll share information
about the various packages available for purchase – whether it’s a fun
family/friends get-together or a business event, it’s a unique way to deepen
relationships!
Be sure to stop by next week to learn the latest on Team RSM and The
RSM Classic, which is now less than six months away!
Teeing off today (May 5) in
Charlotte (nearly in the backyard of our North Carolina office!), is the Wells
Fargo Championship. Playing in the tournament this year: Team RSM Member Davis
Love III, alongside past RSM Classic champions Ben Crane (2011),
Robert Streb (2014)
and Kevin Kisner (2015).
Davis started the day at 8:10 a.m., ET from tee No. 10; then at 12:50 p.m.
Robert starts from tee No. 1; Ben tees off at 1:20 p.m. from No. 10; and
shortly thereafter, at 1:30 p.m., is Kevin from No. 1. Good luck to all our

of that beautiful Carolina weather!
In other news, Golfing World
recently spoke with Team RSM member Andy
Sullivan about his first Masters appearance. Check out this video to learn
a little more about Andy and to hear his thoughts on his favorite golf clubs.
Well…it’s official: we’re now
under the 200-day mark for our countdown to the 2016 RSM Classic (Nov. 14-20)! We’re
nearing the tee off to our volunteer registration for those interested in
helping during this year’s tournament at beautiful Sea Island. It takes 1,200
volunteers to make the event a success each year, and what better way for golf
fans to get a behind-the-ropes experience. If you’re interested, check out the
committee descriptions here, and get ready to sign up for YOUR volunteer
assignment. Volunteer registration will begin soon, so keep checking back
for updates!
Finally, we’d like to wish
all our readers a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend. If you’re fortunate enough to
still have your mom with you, give her a hug or a phone call. If not, take time
to remember some of your wonderful memories of time with your mom.
