This week Team RSM Member Davis
Love III and 2011 RSM Classic champion Ben
Crane are in Texas for the Shell Houston Open. Davis tees off at 12:50 p.m.
CT from tee No. 1.Following
closely behind is Ben at 1 p.m. from tee No. 10. Best of luck to Davis and Ben

Next week is a “biggie,” with
The Masters taking place in Augusta. The tournament
shared a great
story about Davis, and his feelings about his involvement in this year’s
event. Ryder Cup USA also ran a Q&A with Davis – captain for Team USA. The
Q&A included Davis’s insights about Team USA and potential players, the
upcoming Masters Tournament and even the NCAA Final Four. Check it out on the
Ryder Cup website.
Meanwhile, Team RSM Member Zach
Johnson was highlighted in a story in The
Courierwhere fellow Cedar Rapids native Gene Tripp talks about the
coincidence of his fifth career hole-in-one at Waterloo Gate’s Park at the
exact same moment that Cedar Rapids native Zach won the British Open. “I was
not watching him [Zach],” said Tripp. “I was thinking about the shot. But I had
been wondering if I should be playing or if I’d sooner be home watching Zach go
for winning the British Open.” The kicker: later that same week, Gene played
another round and scored his SIXTH hole-in-one. What are the odds? You can find
the full article here
– it’s a fun read!
Be sure to check back next
week to find out the latest on Team RSM

This past Sunday (March 20)
was officially the first day of spring. With everything blooming and all the
fresh green, we cannot help but think of Sea Island – home of The RSM Classic. Known for its beautiful
natural scenery, we always recommend that golf fans who attend the tournament
take time to check out St. Simons Island. A fantastic way to not only
experience the island but also get some behind-the-scenes golf action is by
volunteering during the tournament. Each year it takes 1,200+ volunteers to make the event a success. We are beyond
thankful for the incredible support we get each year from these volunteers and
their infamous southern hospitality.
We’ll be sure to keep you
updated as volunteer sign-up dates for the 2016 RSM Classic are finalized so
you can mark your calendars in the event you want to volunteer this year. In
the meantime, you can check out the Volunteers
page to learn more about roles and responsibilities of the various
committees that will be needed during the tournament,
We hope you have a wonderful
Easter weekend. Be sure to stop by next week to learn the latest on The RSM
Classic (Nov. 14-20) and other golf-related news.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We
hope you’re having a lucky day and that you’re wearing a little green to avoid
getting pinched!

Davis and his brother Mark

progress and see some behind-the-scenes pictures here. You can also connect with us on Twitter @TheRSMClassic,Facebook

We’ll be posting weekly
updates between now and the week of the 2016 RSM Classic (Nov. 14-20), and then
daily throughout the tournament. We hope you’ll check back regularly for the
“latest and the greatest,” as tournament week is truly special to those of us
here at RSM US LLP (RSM). Not only is it a
great time for us to connect with clients, potential clients, Team RSM, a host
of enthusiastic and supportive volunteers, but it also give us an opportunity
to live one of our firm’s core values –stewardship. This
value is so deeply engrained here at RSM, that nine employee winners of a
recent internal contest, 90-90-9,
chose to help celebrate our firm’s 90th anniversary by pursuing
personal passions focused on enhancing the global community. Stewardship truly
is a “tie that binds” RSM and the game of golf. We are honored to share that
tie.
Before closing this week’s
update, we’d like to wish a happy belated birthday to our 2011 RSM Classic

Crane, who celebrated his special day on Sun., March 6. Happy Birthday, Ben
