As spring inches closer on
the calendar, we know a lot of golfers are dusting off their clubs and thinking
about hitting the links! Mark Love, executive director of the Davis Love
Foundation, recently shared a few tips on chipping around the green. Below is
an excerpt, but you can read the full post here.
Hopefully, your game will benefit from Davis’ insights!
“Two
of the most common errors which cause poor chipping are an improper set-up, and
an over-active right hand (or left hand for our lefties). A great drill to do
to help with these issues is to practice some chips using your lead arm. Left
arm only for right-handed players; right arm
only for the lefties.”
This week’s action on the PGA
TOUR is taking place in California. Our newest Team RSM member, Andy
Sullivan, (thanks
to RSM UK) is playing in the Northern
Trust Open. Joining him at Riviera Country
Club is past RSM Classic champions Ben Crane (2011),
Chris Kirk (2013) and Robert Streb (2014).
With an early start, Andy teed off at 7:01 a.m. PT; Ben was at 11:51
a.m.; not too far behind is Chris at 12:12 p.m.; and Robert teed off at 12:23
p.m. All players will begin from tee No. 10 today (Thurs., Feb. 18). Best of luck
to all of them this weekend!
Check back next week to find
out the latest news and updates on Team RSM,
