Beauty of the Course
Team
McGladrey is taking this week off, and while things are calm in the Team
McGladrey world, The McGladrey Classic received some nice coverage in the news.
Golf
Advisor noted Sea Island Resort’s Seaside Course when discussing the PGA TOUR’s
most beautiful courses. In the article, it says the course would rank in the
top five tournaments every year. An excerpt from the article
describes part of the course – “The front nine by legendary English architects
Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison dates to 1929. The back nine in the marsh was
originally created by Joe Lee in the 1970s, but Tom Fazio worked his magic
during a renovation completed in 1999 that created today's routing, which is
ranked among the top 100 public courses in the country. His bold circular
bunkers, faithful to Colt and Alison's distinctive style, add a special
architectural touch, often flashing up in front of tiny greens.”
