This
week, Team McGladrey
Member Zach Johnson
is in California for the Humana Challenge, where he is joined by previous
McGladrey Classic winners Heath Slocum
(2010), Ben Crane
(2011) and Chris Kirk
(2013). If you plan on tuning in to The Golf Channel to watch, Zach tees off at
8:40 a.m., PST from tee No. 10 on PGA West (Nicklaus) and Slocum is at 8:30
a.m. from tee No. 1. On PGA West (Palmer), Crane tees off at 8:40 a.m., PST
from tee No. 10 and Kirk is at 9:40 a.m. from tee No. 1. Best of luck to
all our “guys”!
In
case you missed it, The Brunswick
News recently published a great article about three area nonprofits
that benefit from The McGladrey
Classic: Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia; Special
Olympics, Southeast Georgia Health System Foundation and the First Tee Program.
Numerous other local, regional and national charitable organizations receive
proceeds from The McGladrey Classic, as well. Stewardship is one of McGladrey’s
core values, and giving back to the community through The McGladrey Classic is
one of the key ways we live that value. We’d like to thank all of The McGladrey
Classic supporters and volunteers for their role in helping the 2014 tournament
raise more than
$930,000 for deserving children- and family-focused
charitable organizations, and are looking forward to raising even more for
those in need through this year’s event!
In
other news, the annual PGA Merchandise Show kicked off
yesterday (Tues., Jan. 20) with Demo Day and an instructional workshop. Jan.
21-23 will be the actual exhibit days and conferences in Orlando. This
event is always a big hit for golf industry professionals; Team McGladrey
Member Chris DiMarco
even showed up this year!

Check
back with us next Thursday for more on Team
McGladrey and the 2015 McGladrey Classic (Nov. 16-22)!
