This
week Team McGladrey members Davis Love III
and Zach Johnson
are in Memphis for the FedEx St. Jude Classic. Davis tees off today
(Thurs., June 5) at 12:30 p.m., CT on tee no.1 and Zach (who has jumped to No.
6 in the FedEx Rank, by the way!) shortly after at 12:50 p.m., CT from the same
hole. Best of luck to both our ‘guys’ this weekend!
Earlier
this week, Sea Island – home of The McGladrey Classic – shared the announcement
of a new golf performance center. With a new name, new look, new
state-of-the-art technology (which have almost doubled the center’s size) and
more top teachers than at any other golf facility in the country, the venerable
golf instruction center at Sea Island -- the Golf Learning Center – is now even
more focused on improving the performance of every student, from beginning
golfers to the many tour professionals (including Davis and Zach) who train
there. Learn
more about the center.
And
while you’re thinking about Sea Island, remember that Father’s Day is right
around the corner. Act now (or at least before Tues., June 10) to purchase
a package gift for your Dad to receive it in time for the “big day.” You
can choose one of three great options
- Love for Dad $99 2 Day Any Day, Golf Towel, Hat, Golf Balls
- Love for Dad II $225 2 Good Any Day, Twosome of Golf, 2 Hats
- Love for Dad III $375 1 night-The Inn, Twosome of Golf, 2 Good Any Day
But
that’s not all…the day after Father’s Day, Birdies Fore
Love tees off, and you can begin making donations online or by using the
Official Donation Form. One-hundred percent of your donation is applied to the
charity you select and your donation is tax deductible as a charitable
contribution. While making your donation, be sure to enter the “Guess the
Birdies” contest for a chance to win the grand prize, which will be awarded to
the individual who guesses the correct number of birdies during competitive
rounds (Thurs., Oct. Oct. 23 through Sun., Oct. 26) of The McGladrey Classic.
So on Monday (June 16), do your lucky dance – or whatever else might work for you
– and submit your best guess to see if you’re this year’s lucky winner
following tournament week.
Check
back next week for more updates on Team
McGladrey and the McGladrey Classic (Oct. 20-26).
