This week’s post is from PGA TOUR Professional and Team McGladrey Member Zach Johnson, President’s Cup member, winner of the 2013 BMW Championship and resident of Sea Island, GA, home of The McGladrey Classic.
It seems as if it was just yesterday that Kim and I welcomed the McGladrey team, a great field of PGA TOUR players and thousands of golf fans to our home of Sea Island for the 2012 McGladrey Classic. This year’s event – the fourth year of The Classic – is now one short month away (Nov. 4 – 10), and we’re looking forward, once again, to welcoming everyone back to the island.
The McGladrey Classic is special. Not just because it’s “at home,” but through The McGladrey Classic, hundreds of thousands of dollars are raised for national and local charitable organizations. In fact, to date, the tournament has raised nearly $1 million for Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeast Georgia, and other deserving charitable organizations that do so much for those in need. I’m proud to be a part of The McGladrey Classic, and to wear the McGladrey Logo, and I hope to see you at Sea Island in November!
