Happy Father's Day from Team McGladrey!

What a great week!

We started with a golf charity event in the McGladrey Boston office, which raised $150,000 to benefit Special Olympics Massachusetts, Boys & Girls Club of Boston and the McGladrey Foundation. Team McGladrey Members Natalie Gulbis and Chris DiMarco joined us to conduct clinics and to help celebrate. Thanks to everyone who helped make the event a success!

The Caddie for Love contest is going strong, with more than 6,800 verified registrants as of June 15! If you haven’t entered for your chance to win, do it now, as the June 25 deadline is quickly approaching! The lucky winner will receive airfare and hotel accommodations for two at beautiful Sea Island, and will get to go behind the ropes with Team McGladrey Member and 2012 U.S. Ryder Cup Captain Davis Love III. Why shouldn’t this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity be yours? Enter at www.caddieforlove.com.

And to make the week even better, Davis and fellow Team McGladrey Member Zach Johnson are playing the U.S. Open at the Congressional Country Club in beautiful Bethesda, Maryland.

Also, since we’re wrapping up this week with Father’s Day, we wanted to remind you that, in honor of that special day, the Davis Love Foundation is offering a unique package for The McGladrey Classic. The Father’s Day package can be purchased between now and June 19, and includes two general admission tournament tickets, a dozen Bridgestone golf balls, an AHEAD golf cap and a POLO golf shirt, each with The McGladrey Classic logo. Half of the daily and weekly ticket proceeds go directly to charity through The McGladrey Classic “Tix 4 Kids” program, so it’s a great deal AND a great way to give back to the community. Finally, we’ve run across a bit of an unconventional YouTube video this week, featuring Ben Crane, Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler and Hunter Mahan who collaborated on “Oh Oh Oh,” their first release from their teenybopper spoof band, Golf Boys. It’s gone quite viral – having received more than 600,000 views to date – so you might have already seen it, but, if not, take a look. It’ll make your Father’s Day! The best part? Proceeds from the single’s sales on iTunes will go to charity.

Until next week…
